Expect the expected

Hospitality @ Waterfall City understands the value of your home and whilst we cannot guarantee the Guest's behaviour, the following procedures will ensure we know who is expected, and be a subtle reminder to the Guest that they should be mindful of their behaviour during their stay.

  1. Guests have to agree to specific Terms & Conditions which are legally binding, when making a booking.
  2. The confirmation letter we send them reminds them of this, and includes a link to start the access granting process.
  3. The Guest is required to upload a photograph of their face using their smartphone or webcam.  This is required of all adults who will be staying in the apartment, as specified in the booking.
  4. On arrival at the Concierge desk, the person checking in will be verified against the image previously uploaded.  There is a camera at the Concierge desk which linked to the database. If this check matches, the person shall be granted access to the building.  If not, they will not be allowed to enter.
  5. Once access is granted to the building, the Concierge shall also grant access to the lift and other permitted areas.  Access to the lift and other permitted areas is controlled through fingerprints or issuing of a code.
  6. All of the above access is only valid for the duration of the dates booked.
  7. Each adult staying in the apartment has to go through this process at check in.  Persons under the age of 18 have to be accompanied by and adult at all times, as per the constitution of the residents association.
  8. Repeat Guests may not have to upload their image after the first time as this information is stored in the access control system.  On arrival of each subsequent visit, the camera at the Concierge desk will take an image of the person, search the database and grant access if it matches, for the duration of the new booking dates.
  9. In addition to the above, a copy of their ID, Drivers License or Passport is taken on arrival, as it is a legal requirement in South Africa.
